It's spring - although the weather here in central Illinois is not very indicative of it. The weather is cold & rainy and it's sending a chill right to the bone. The barometer is giving my head fits and spring colds abound. I've been warding off a cold -- my glands are swollen, I'm exhausted & head is killing me. Kabe's coughing & fighting off something. I tell you all this -- not meaning to complain, but to lay the foundation for this post. I got home tonight prepared to make dinner & my wonderful husband took over and got preparations under way and finished it. This may not seem like a big deal, especially to those of you who know Adam & how much he enjoys the culinary arts. What makes this a big deal is that he really doesn't enjoy cooking in every day, mundane life. His preference is to prepare things for a more gourmet pallet and/or more than just the three of us. SO...it got me thinking that I don't express my gratitude enough. Below is a list of the top five things I'm thankful for.
1) God's grace, mercy and forgiveness.
2) My handsome, thoughtful husband. We've had a great 11 years so far ... and we've only just begun!
3) A fabulous son, who constantly brings a smile to my face and a song to my heart.
4) Family that I enjoy spending time with, love to laugh with, can't wait to see again.
5) Friends who understand me - at least sometimes, laugh with me, pray for me, and love me.
What are you thankful for?
Is there anyone out there? If so, please leave your Top Five in the comments of this post (by clicking on the word comments at the end of this post) or by posting them on your blog (please leave a comment so we'll know to head to your blog). Don't be shy...

Blessings
I have a lot to be thankful for in my life and I know I don't take time regularly enough to count those blessings. I am married to my best friend -- a Godly Man and a great dad -- for almost 11 years now! I have a wonderful son who has a tender heart full of compassion. I have parents, siblings, friends and family who love me, whom I love. I have a roof over my head and food to eat. I have a good, merciful, and loving Jesus who loves me, despite all my faults and failures. That's a lot to be thankful for!
Yesterday we celebrated Palm Sunday at church, saying "Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Blessed is HE who comes in the Name of the Lord!" Can you even imagine what it would have been like to be in Jerusalem with Jesus as He came riding through on a donkey amid shouts of praise and adoration?
Then, by week's end, Jesus will have made the ultimate sacrifice, taking my sins--your sins, being crucified on a cross for you and for me. Do you know His Blessings?
