The Carver

Sounds scary, huh? Okay, not so much. I'm SOOO behind in posting thanks to travel to Nebraska to visit family and go to my cousin's wedding (more on that later...).

Last week, before we left, Adam & Kabe carved the pumpkins from our trip to the pumpkin patch while I took the time to pick out all the seeds, pull out all the goo and strings so we could roast them. Roasting the seeds was a new experience for us, but I think it'll be added to our fall tradition.....YUM!

And here is the finished product. These were taken in the daylight, thus no scary flame. It was too windy & wind kept blowing the candle out.

The Great Pumpking Patch!

Saturday we finally went to a pumkin patch....and boy did we have fun! We'd never visited this patch before, set in the middle of Illinois' largest Amish settlement. I'm sure there are larger patches to be seen, but I have never seen so many pumpkins and gourds displayed in such fun and unusual ways!

I have about a bazillion pictures, but rather than make this post a mile long, below is a slide show. If you'd like to look at them closer or more individually, you can click on the slide show and then look at them in leisure. Enjoy!
