This year, in order to save on fuel expenses, large portions of the grounds are left un-mowed (is that a word?). Despite the fact this is in town, on campus, in the middle of buildings, this looks like a prairie and although this picture won't do justice, it's rather cool looking, especially after rains & winds when it creates a spiral type effect.

Because I work with scientists and researchers, environment and nature is a high priority. People are very conscious of their carbon footprint.

I'm not saying all this is bad, in fact, some of it is probably good. God is probably sad at the way we have taken care of His planet.

Do you think about your carbon footprint? I know that although people around me are very conscious of it, it's not something we discuss enough in our family. I'm not really ready to sell the car and ride my bike to work, but it is probably time we look at the bigger picture and how we're impacting it.
